I saw some reviews indicating that they had trouble with the wireless, given that I am very Tech Saavy, I was not concerned. It was actually simple to configure and only took about 10 minutes. The print quality is great, but I think that applies to most. I like the duplexing feature and there are large ink cartridges available too. My guess is that some people had problems configuring wireless due to security on their router, but following the directions should prevent issue. P.S. Super fast printing a big improvement over my old printer.

Now all laptops in my home can do wireless printing freely, and no one likes to use the cabled laser printer unless someone wants to get a large volume done in a minute. The photo printed were great.

I've used quite a lot of printers. Usually I prefer HP. But this x4850 really surprised me. Installation is easy, instructions are clear, the wireless function is really a solid feature. Now I don't have to worry about messing up with all the wires. And printing quality is great!

I purchased this printer because I use a laptop with a router in another room from the printer and was tired of constantly getting up and having to take the laptop into the other room and connect it to a printer. This printer installed flawlessly and works great. I am able to send print jobs to it anytime without moving and can change printing options from the printer software right on my laptop. I like that it also can be used without the laptop to copy or scan items and to print pictures. This is my 3rd Lexmark printer and I have never had a problem with any of them. Anyone looking for a wireless printer this is a good buy. Also can be found for less money at Circuit City this week. (4-6--4-12)

We have had this printer installed for just over a week now. We are currently printing to it from 3 computers in the house with no problems whatsoever. The main thing to do is look carefully at the manual, and follow the instructions exactly when installing it, making sure to disable any and all security software including antivirus when installing it on each computer. It prints quickly enough and does very good and quick copies. The software popups aren't really a problem since we appreciate seeing the printing status and amount of ink left. Besides you can disable all that straight from the popup itself if you click on the little asterisk shaped button on the popup labeled "appearance". The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is for 2 things. You have to have the printer manually turned on to print - which can be bothersome if you are printing from another room. The second is that photos tend to come out kind of dark, even when using photo paper. I tried adjusting the brightness in the photo software but it still didn't make skin tones, etc turn out quite right. For photos, think we will stick with our old wired HP with a photo ink cartridge which prints photos perfectly. But for general scanning, copying and printing wirelessly, it works quite well.
