I print mostly recipes from various cooking sites, and occasional photo prints, both plain 4 x 6 and some that I use with a photo framing/scrapbooking program. I usually set the b/w recipe printing on "Quick Print" to save on the ink.
I recently printed out some photos from an Arizona trip we took. In the past, I used a Kodak printer dock, one of which I replaced with the G600. Neither printer dock lasted long, in that if they are not used frequently, apparently, the rollers won't pull in the paper, or, in both cases for me, the ink cartridge couldn't be ejected from the machine.
So, after editing my pics as best I could, I printed them using my Z1300. These pictures were as good, if not better, than the ones I had printed up at Walgreens. I didn't even have the optional photo cartridge - I just used the standard color cartridge. I hope this printer lasts a long time, because I am so happy with the way it prints color photographs! A bargain for the price, with top quality results.
Whether or not it can be cost effective for high volume photo printing, I don't know, but in light of the fact that I've expended twice as much on each of two Kodak printer docks I've purchased, this is the printer for me. |
Perfect for me!

| I know I should not be posting this here, but I just bought this printer at BIG LOTS for 22.00 plus tax about 24.00. I got the Black carts at walmart for 17.00. The printer comes with a sample of color. The color cart is about a $1.00 higher. For the price, I am very pleased. I, too, printed pics using the color cart that came with the printer and was very surprised and happy at the results, better than my other two printers with scanners!! IF you have a BIG LOTS near you, hurry up and get one, if not go online at Biglots.com and find a store near you. Off sale they are 29.95, if I remember right. Sorry Amazon...but we gotta save $$$$$$!! |

I am in the legal business. This portable, lightweight color printer is GREAT for taking out of town, courtrooms, etc. It prints very clear and is extremely fast. Additionally, it accepts remanufactured cartridges with no issues. A GREAT BUY!!
